But even if it runs at 60fps on a GTX3070 on lowest graphics, we can make it work. I know the general answer is that the current engine wouldn't allow consistent FPS. The whole Oculus Quest 2 market shows that VR users don't care much about graphics. I would spend days in BeamNG VR even if it looked like garbage. We don't care about consistent 90 fps or good graphics. Let us struggle and fight to get it working. I don't think people realize that VR off-road games are non-existent at the moment and the BeamNG team could be pioneers in this field.ĭevs, the VR community asks you: release anything that would allow us to create a VR mod. What Is The Difference Between VORPX and Virtual Desktop Getting my first ever VR on June 3rd and I can't wait I saw many non-native VR games running smoothly with softwares like Virtual Desktop and VORPX, pretty much making most game titles to be played in VR. It is a completely barren market and there is nothing in sight from any developer. The answer is as simple as it gets: there is absolutely no off-road VR game of any kind.Īssetto Corsa and other sims cannot handle off-road at all. I know every single thread about VR in BeamNG, and every answer from the devs. While not always strictly enforced, moderators may act in situations where new submissions detract from the welfare of the subreddit.įor the last year, I have googled "BeamNG VR" at least twice a day, I have searched every single forum, I have tried all hacks and stuff like VorpX (which I spent 2 days on trying to configure), I have even researched the effort and possibility of creating a VR mod (I am a software developer, but have no experience with Lua). For an additional 3D effect, some people used it together with TriDef3D HShield 7 yr. I have 25 or so real machines, plus many virtual pincabs so you could say I’m addicted to pinball. I initially bought this vorpX to play my games in 3d on my projector and it did okay with that, but since getting my VR headset all I have had is issue after issue trying to play games in VR, if I only much as look at my VR controllers it screws up my inputs on pretty much anything I have tried, I have just spent a week trying out all my games and have come to the conclusion that this vorpX is only suitable for 3d on a big screen if you are lucky enough that it works, TitanFall 2 is the only game that was almost playable in almost VR without too many issues as long as I didn’t look at my vr controllers or bump the floor to hard that would screw up my gamepad, so I think from now on it’ll just be I will buy native VR games from now on and hope they make native VR support one day for these games, because I haven’t got the time anymore to mess around with is a realistic and immersive driving game, offering near-limitless possibilities and capable of doing just about anything!īeamNG in-house soft-body physics engine simulates every component of a vehicle 2000 times per second in real time, resulting in realistic and high-fidelity dynamic behavior. Great idea, can’t believe I never thought of that. Yeah it doesn’t work and never has for me, I have different images in both eyes, the controller doesn’t seem to know which one it wants to use, I get a warning message saying I am on a higher version than 1.61, I give up.
